The Asset Intelligence business was really born out of an Imagination Breakthrough effort with our GE VeriWiseTM asset tracking invention back in 2001 – primarily used for Trailer Fleet Services customers to track their trailer assets.

"Asset Intelligence" is the application of remote monitoring technologies and services to track, manage, secure and deploy valuable physical assets. For the trucking industry, this definition is applied to trailer assets to enable better billing, fleet sizing, security and compliance for our Trailer Fleet Services' customers.

NEWS: Koch Logistics Beats Murphy’s Law with GE VeriWiseTM Back up Plan

Advanced, dual-satellite-based, 24/7 trailer tracking is what Koch Logistics expected from the VeriWise Asset Intelligence tracking system the company agreed to install on its 600-trailer fleet. And that’s what Koch got, even when the Trailer Fleet Services business of GE, the supplier of VeriWise, moved offices recently. The GE office move included the migration of the computer servers VeriWise customers normally access for online tracking of their trailers.

New DS300 telematics unit helps GE customers remotely monitor over-the-road trailers and other assets for safety, security and fleet utilization

Delphi Corp. (NYSE: DPH) announced it will begin production shortly on a new satellite transceiver unit that GE will use with its VeriWiseTM Asset Intelligence system. GE’s VeriWise system allows fleet owners to track and monitor mobile assets such as over-the-road trailers.
